The story of the Portuguese legend and the rich Asians.

Only three months on, and Leicesters playoff drama with Cardiff seems years ago. The second season after returning to the Championship promises to be tough for City, and with the club in a period of Dave Cash Jersey change, Leicester will certainly be hoping to steer clear of the so called second season syndrome. As demonstrated spectacularly by Colchester in 2008, who dropped from a 10th to a 24th place finish, the second season can change everything. Whilst this is unlikely to happen to the foxes, it is still a reminder that things can turn on their head.Thai Consortium member - Vichai RaksriaksornThe first of the big changes is the news that an Asian consortium is keen to invest the club. Whilst current chairman, Milan Mandari is expected to still own a 51% stake in the club in the short term, the 71 year old is expected to ultimately stand down as chairman. Despite Mandari s high turnover of managers at the beginning of his reign, he worked up a good relationship with manager Nigel Pearson, which will be hard to replace. Although Mandari has tried to rea sure fans that the investors are football people who will provide new money for the club, there is still uncertainty as to whether this is just a profitable Blank Jersey venture for them. Slightly worryingly, Mandari said similar things about the Gaydamak family when he sold Portsmouth to them. Alexandre Gaydamak took Portsmouth into huge debt and was accused of a set stripped the club before he sold it; not quite the person with ma sive ambitions, who has fallen in love with the supporters that Mandari described. However, probably having an even greater impact on the club is the sudden resignation of manager Nigel Pearson. After guiding Leicester to promotion and a 5th place finish in the championship, Pearson left for Hull with a year still on his City contract. The club moved quickly to locate a replacement, and appointed Paolo Sousa. After taking Swansea to their highest ever Jorge Alfaro Jersey finish last season, he was described as Mandari as the right man to take our club forward. So far Sousas appointment has received a fairly mixed reception amongst fans. His relative lack of experience as a manager, and his rather unsucce sful spell at QPR (only 7 wins in 27) has led some to questioning whether he is the right man to build on the succe ses of the last two seasons. However, on the other hand, many fans are optimistic about Leicesters first ever manager from outside the British Isles. His guarantee to everyone that, in two years time maximum Leicester will reach the Premier League shows no lack of ambition, and there is certainly no disputing his experience or talent as a player. His refusal to dive head-first into the transfer market has also come as a relief to many fans; it is the complete opposite of Martin Allen who signed 14 disappointing players and began the downward spiral which saw Leicester relegated to the third tier. A few fans have even launched a campaign on Facebook to try and get Pukka Pies to release a Piri Piri Paulo Pie!Sousas only addition to the squad so far is that of Benfica defender Miguel Vitor (left)on a season long loan. He joins former Rochdale defender Tom Kennedy as Citys second signing during the summer break. With Champions League experience and a Portuguese liga winners medal, it is hoped Vitor will add stability to Leicesters back line after the departures of Nobby Solano Greg Luzinski Jersey and Wayne Brown. The signing of another young talent, Leon Crncic, is also expected this week. The Slovenian under 21 striker, is expected to sign on a one year deal after impre sing in a trial, and during his last season on loan at Atalanta. Meanwhile, strong contender for worst penalty of the year- Yann Kermorgant, has moved back to France to play for AC Arles Sean Rodriguez Jersey Avignon on a season long loan.Although the backbone of the team which performed so well last year is relatively unchanged, there is a chance that City will have to find an answer to the same problem that Sousa faced at Swansea scoring enough goals. After struggling to find a prolific goal scoring streak last season, Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has already ruled out a loan return for the Foxes joint top scorer last year, Martyn Waghorn (right). Moreover, Matty Fryatt, who looked like a Golden Boot contender at one point, only scored three goals between Christmas and May last season. With things needing to settle down after the summer freshening up, only time will tell if Sousa really does hold the blueprint to succe s, or whether he has already started to walk the path of failure.
