Hart appoints Clarke as Portsmouths new Chief Scout

Yesterday, Portsmouth appointed Ray Clarke as their new chief scout.Clarke replaces Prince Amukamara Jersey outgoing scout Ian Broomfield, who left to link-up with Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.During his playing career, Clarke played for a number of high-profile clubs, including Tottenham, Ajax and Newcastle United.Since retiring, the 56-year-old has worked as a scout, previously under manager Gordon Strachan at both Southampton and Celtic.Upon his arrival, manager Paul Hart was delighted to Adam Shaheen Jersey bring Clarkes experience to the club.Hart said: Ray is a fantastic appointment and Im really pleased to bring him here.Clarke is now looking forward to the experience of working in the Premier League.He said: I got a call asking if Id be interested in coming to work for a Premier League club and obviously I said yes.I came down to meet with the manager and the chief executive and everything was agreed.Its been Akiem Hicks Jersey a hectic period with the transfer window closing.
